Picture Perfect Books - Believing the Bible Literally

Fourteen essential parts of the reality that the Creator created for us, are listed below:
God revealed the first thirteen in Genesis 1 and 2:
  1. God and His truth are absolute.
  2. God is the Almighty Creator of our Universe, and of our reality.
  3. God created the space-time of our universe.
  4. God created matter - the earth and most of the objects in space.
  5. God created darkness (Isaiah 45:7).
  6. God created an ordered universe - everything happens according to physical and spiritual law.
  7. God created life.
  8. God established reproductive boundaries for life: “after its kind”.
  9. God created the human with the entirely free ability to choose from available options.
  10. God created the human male and female and established marriage to be a union of male and female.

  11. (As described, the eleventh and twelfth items below are not commonly believed.)
  12. God delegated to the human direct authority over all the earth.
  13. Our reality contains Evil - God created evil and explained it in Genesis 1 and 2 and in Isaiah 45:7. God revealed a clear solution to the three-part evil in our world.
  14. Our reality is one of cause and effect, according to both physical and spiritual laws. We choose, and the effects of our choice happen. We speak, and the effects of our words happen. This is necessarily complex We believe, and the effect of our faith happens.
A common error made here is the human desire that explanations be simple. This was part of the problem in Job’s day. Positive and negative effects could cancel each other in general or in a single person. This happens with understanding how a person’s life, who makes both good and bad choices. is effected, or when understanding how a person speaking both good and bad words might experience the effects.

  15. God also revealed, from Genesis 3, that our reality on earth …
  16. is corrupted, because Adam chose to eat fruit from the forbidden tree and God sent the effects/consequences of that choice - death - into the earth.
