God’s Two Distinct Solutions completely solve each Sin Problem.
God applies each solution to each believer.
- To provide the Nature Changewe need, God fixes who we are.
First, God makes Jesus Sin. Then, He condemns that Sin. Then that Sin dies when Jesus dies.
Finally, in believers, God exchanges that dead nature of Sin for His Righteousness.
- To fix what we have done: God deals with past sins by Jesus’ shed and sprinkled blood. (See Leviticus 17:11 and Hebrews 9.)
Believers are redeemed, justified, forgiven … by Jesus’ life’s blood shed.
Details about God’s Two Distinct Solutions:
- How God changes our nature:
First God made Jesus Sin for us; that is the very Sin corrupting us inside. (II Corinthians 5:21a)
Next, God condemned that Sin … God condemned that corrupting Sin - not the sinless Jesus. (Romans 8:3)
(It was men, however, who falsely accused and crucified Jesus … killing both Jesus and that Sin.)
That sin nature being dead made our nature change possible.
Everyone who sees Jesus lifted up on the cross, and believes, receives the nature change.
God exchanges their now dead Sin Nature for His Righteousness (II Corinthians 5:21b).
- How God's deals with our past sinnings: (Romans 3:23)
Our sinnings cause two problems: one inside and one outside.
God fixes the believer’s internal problems, such as guilt and bondage caused by sins-committed.
God fixes the believer inside by the power in Jesus’ life’s blood.
In Leviticus 17:11 and throughout the New Testament, God reveals that the life’s blood on the altar satisfies Him.
Jesus sprinkled his own shed blood on the true altar in heaven.
In this way, God completely dealt with the believer’s past sins.
(Believer’s remain responsible for the outside problems, such as relationship issues, debt, etc. … but God helps.
This is the non-universal Sin Problem #3 that only believers have.
Since they no longer have the Two Universal Sin Problems, believers are fully able to clean up mess made of the old, unbelieving life.)
