As we live, is any place safe from evil, and permanently accessible?
Although it has no authority, evil has great power, and it can hurt those who oppose it.
That is why we must declare that one place is safe from evil. Evil cannot penetrate the walls of this safe place,
where any believer can live.
That safe place is God’s house.
We not only have access to God, but His power for us is Almighty - no evil can match it.
Yet, we are not protected from evil’s great power … unless we are in God’s house.
It helps to wear God’s armor when we fight, and it helps to get God’s direction when we engage evil.
but most of us will not engage evil perfectly, every time we need a safe place.
We may think that trouble/evil is certain, God’s house is a place of real safety.
So we ask: How can we live in God’s house?
The Bible describes this place in (Psalm 91:1) … but we enter by faith.
In addition, it requires relationship with God … only believers into Christ crucified can enter.
Psalm 91:2 tells us how to enter God’s house … we enter by faith. We declare this faith as directed
… in many possible ways. We may simply read, with faith, Psalm 91:1-2. Most of Psalm 27 declares the security
of God’s house.
Once inside, this protection is real as described in Psalm 91:4,7,10.
In relationship with God, each person learns to take responsibility for every problem in his or her world,
and each person learns to take a stand against every evil in her or his world.
Psalm 37 is encouraging. Commands to the believer include: fret not, wait, rest, trust, …
In addition, Psalm 37 describles what will happen in the life of the wicked vs what will happen in the life of the believer.
This difference is true throughout the Bible.
We live safely, without fear. We live that safety by faith.
