Dealing with the evil we see.
Other passages, such as Luke 13, speak of
the wrong assumption that if evil happens to someone then they must have done something to deserve it …
likewise for blessings that come. This was the belief at the time of Job, but the reality of humans freely making choices with consequences is far more complex than that.
Also, contrary to what a strict Deist might say, God is active; He has purposes that must be accomplished on the earth. We need to remember that God is Almighty and Wise:
He is able to accomplish His purposes for the earth, even though He is not in charge on the earth.
Contrary to what a Deist might say, God is active; He has purposes that must be accomplished on the earth.
We need to remember that God is Almighty, and that He is always able to accomplish His purposes.
When we see evil, or anything on the earth, we know that the cause is human choices.
Since we also know that the evil we see has NO authority even to exist on the earth,
we oppose its very existence in our world. We wear God’s armor, and enter the battle as God directs.
When we do this, we fight in faith, not fear. In addition, we expect to win when we fight evil.
Our mindset includes the perspective that God gave evil NO authority on the earth … NONE.
Practically speaking, so much evil is manifested in today’s world
that to oppose just the evil that we see would take more time than we have …
most of us would not even have time just to pray against all the evil that we become aware of.
So I suggest relating to God about it to know what to do and how to pray.
Some suggestions: First, our choices should all be good; they should not add evil to our world.
Second, we must relate to God to know what evil in our lives that we should clean up.
Third, our families … fourth, our friends and neighbors … fifth, the evil that we hear about.
Since evil is found everywhere, we relate to God.
Since God knows about us and our world, we get our concerns and burdens from Him … He knows best,
and He will tell us what to do and how to do it.
